Removal
1.
Remove the engine cover.
(Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")
2.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
3.
Disconnect the ignition coil connector (A) and breather hose (B).

4.
Disconnect the PCV hose (A).

5.
Remove the ignition coil.
(Refer to Engine Eletrical System - "Ignition Coil")
6.
Disconnect the OCV valve connector and then remove the OCV (A).

7.
Remove the cylinder head cover (A) with it`s gasket.

Unfasten the cylinder head cover bolts in the seq uence shown.

Installation
1.
Install the cylinder head cover (A) with a new gasket (B).

Do not reuse the disassembled gasket.
2.
Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts (A) with the order and steps.
Tightening torque
1st step:
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)
2nd step:
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb-ft)

3.
Install the ignition coil.
(Refer to Engine Eletrical System - "Ignition Coil")
4.
Disconnect the OCV valve connector and then remove the OCV (A).

5.
Connect the PCV hose (A).

6.
Connect the ignition coil connector (A) and breather hose (B).

7.
Connect the battery negative terminal.
8.
Install the engine cover.
