Description The compressor is the power unit of the A/C system. It is located on the side of engine block and driven by a V-belt of the engine.
Removal Precautions for using the plastic pulley • Be careful not to place the pulley to downwards of the floor or table.
Oil Specification 1. The HFC-134a system requires synthetic (PAG) compressor oil whereas the R-12 system requires mineral compressor oil. The two oils must never be mixed. 2. Compressor (PAG) oil varies according to compressor model.
Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the intake actuator connector. 3. Verify that the intake actuator operates to the fresh position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4.
